DEC NEXT GEN INTERNSHIP

Talent, character, and hard work - that's what we look for when building a project team. But we recognize that the opportunities to showcase these personal attributes are not always available equitably for everyone.

The DEC Next Gen Internship provides mentorship and meaningful work experience to current college students from underserved communities. Specifically, students from these communities who are pursuing careers in urban or land planning, eco-tourism and hospitality, and natural resource management will gain valuable experience and skills through applied practice of their trade, networking with local business leaders, and the opportunity to present a project of their own design that helps to advance the topics of social and environmental justice in the local community.

To apply for the DEC Next Gen Internship, you must currently be enrolled in an accredited University program and maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA prior to and during the course of your application. Additionally, special preference will be given to applicants who identify as a minority or represent an underserved community.

If you or someone you know is interested in applying for the

DEC Next Gen Internship, please email your resume to Lori Williams at
